Alan G. Chun, Of Counsel to the firm, is a member of the firm's estate planning, probate and trust administration group. Mr. Chun is well known and a respected leader in the field of complex estate tax issues, tax litigation and tax controversy. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Chun spent 38 years with the Internal Revenue Service as an estate tax attorney where he focused on a broad array of substantive tax issues in the areas of family trusts, estate and gift tax, generation skipping transfer tax, family limited partnerships (FLPs), QTIP trusts and valuation of closely-held businesses. His many years of experience at the IRS brings a unique insider perspective to the firm&'s Estate Planning and Probate practice. Alan's extensive knowledge of IRS policies and procedures combined with his understanding of estate tax audit issues, wealth transfer, asset protection, and minimizing estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes enables him to advise clients in the planning stages and in the event of an audit or other tax controversy.
